AIR STAGNATION

I looked at my Yahoo! weather this evening and saw a • Severe Weather Alert for Seattle.

http://weather.yahoo.com/storm/USWA0395.html

Seems there’s gonna be some stagnate air wreakin some pollution down on us. I’ve never seen that warning before.

So, as long as the pollution is swirling around, it’s ok? It’s when it stops and settles that we’re in trouble. hmmm. Interesting. I kinda was under this false impression that Seattle had less air pollution than most, and that was mainly because we are near water. There’s usually such a differential between the water temp and the land temp that the air keeps circulating. It must mean the temperature is equalizing during this time of year is all I can guess. This bullshit theory is probably all wrong anyway. But it is good to sound like I know what I’m talking about.

Where I haven’t been

There’s a cool web app where you can generate an image of the world map that shows where you’ve been. There’s one for the states too, but I’ve been to most of them, so it isn’t very interesting.

What interests me about the world map is the number of places I haven’t been. Things I haven’t seen. Stuff I have no idea about and have never experienced.

I hope to change this map into something more colored red. I have been to only 1% of the planet. Pathetic.

Soon. Soon I will travel. Oh yes. Soon.
