Transferring site

I need to switch web hosts! I was waiting for this day to come. Now I can break free of iPowerWeb and switch to something better.

Not that I’ve even had a bad experience with iPowerWeb, really. They’ve been pretty good. I just gave them a chance to keep my business by asking them to upgrade my account to the current level of service they are offering with their Pro package, which is what I have. I have 3 GB of disc space and 80 GB or bandwidth – a new customer gets 50 GB of disc space for the same price I’m paying. Why would I still pay for way less space and features? Their response to my offer wasn’t very good, so screw them! I’m moving on.

A different person did respond to me and offered the current level of service. So I can’t fault them on that. The first person just didn’t have a clue…

I’m thinking about DreamHost, they’ve been highly recommended by some respected designers/developers. Right now they have 200 GB disc space and 2 TB of bandwidth for the same price I’m paying at PowWeb. And, DreamHost offers shell access which ipowerweb doesn’t allow.
