I’m cat-sitting in Fremont now. Staying in a very cute and cozy one-bedroom house just north of “downtown” Fremont.
I’m taking care of Rocket! He’s a great cat, has a mean meow and is very friendly. He even let me take a picture of him! Not that he’s skittish. I did catch him waking up …
Otherwise, things are moving along. I’ve been doing some work, got a little more coming. There’s been some interest in my truck, but no takers yet. I debate selling it every day … but in the end I think selling it is the way to go. I can always buy another truck if I need it. I won’t always have this time in my life to travel and explore the way I feel like I want and need to do right now. I think I want to try and get by without a car for part of my life too.
The best news I’ve found out lately is that I do, in fact, still have renters insurance. Somehow State Farm never cancelled it when I asked them to several months ago. Now, I am glad they didn’t as I’ll be covered in part for the stuff I lost in the truck break-in.
The worst thing right now is that I think I’m fighting some kind of cold or flu. There’s a bit of a pain in my ear and I’m a bit groggy. Maybe it’s just the change of weather and scenery (moving to a new house) or maybe I picked up some cruddy germs from someone. I haven’t been sick in a long time.
