Merry Xmas!
Although my cold is in full-swing it seems, I am happy to be here. The kids are excited for presents and it’s just nice to bum around! the weather isn’t that great, so we’ve been staying inside. Jay and Monique’s tradition is to open gifts xmas eve night, and the kids can’t quite wait! Every other hour there’s a request like “can we open just ONE present now?”
We had a nice xmas breakfast of pancakes and a satisfying diner of pork chops and beer.
The kids got a few cool things. James and even I got some gifts! They gave me some very thoughtful gifts - a beautiful puzzle of something (I’ll have to look it up), a nice Switzerland coffee mug (with the flags of all 26 cantons of Switzerland), a red Bern dish-towel and a small blue SmartCar replica to remind us of the tiny cars in Europe.
