I ended up checking into the Oasis Backpackers hostel here in Sevilla. I did stop by and look at one other hostel first, but it seemed like a dive, so I moved on. After a bit of trouble actually finding Oasis - the hostel is not marked in any way from the street - I landed at a very nice place indeed.
I´m going on my second night at Oasis, and although I didn´t get but 3 hours of sleep last night, it´s been great. Last night I was up quite late and I think I had a bit too much wine and beer (too much for me, anyway) I think I was also a bit overwhelmed being here in Sevilla with it´s beauty and foreign language. I just didn´t sleep well. I woke up around 3:30 am or so and was quivering. I didn´t feel sick, really. I just felt like I needed to be up. Maybe it was a bad dream on top of the booze. I headed downstairs and read for several hours while other hostelers trickled in at all hours of the night. I even watched the sun rise before I got back to bed and slept for several more hours.
So, anyway, the title of this post … I finally am able to upload photos. Unfortunately, I can only upload a portion of what I have taken, because I didn´t remember at first to switch my camera to record a RAW + JPG file for each shot. So, the shots up on my flickr account are from only part of today. I shot some photos both today and yesterday. So, take a look.
I don´t really have the energy at the moment to post more, and I have more to write, for sure. One bit of news, is I´ve decided to move on to the coastal town of Malaga next, and do some couchsurfing there.
