Not like I’m already taking a break from a lot of stuff … Today I day-tripped to Oxford, which is only a 20 minute, non-stop, direct train ride from Reading.
It was a really cool trip! Oxford is very cool and I definitely recommend it. I took a two-hour walking tour and was fed quite a few interesting bits of information, most of which will just remain locked up in my memory banks for eternity. Mainly, I had not idea how unique Oxford was as a university. It’s quite a different system, and I am very jealous of it, really. The result of their system has got to be just about the highest quality of education you can get, as it is nothing like the traditional classes and courses of the US educational system. I’m not giving any details of what the system is actually like, I know. Sorry about that. You’ll just have to visit Oxford yourself.
Just wanted to make a quick post. I’m back at the Global Cafe here in Reading, enjoying a Brakspear bottle conditioned organic beer. I’m about to head to Jim’s to watch the Liverpool vs Barcelona football match. This is my last night in Reading, and it has been an enjoyable stay. Tomorrow I fly to Valencia, Spain.
